Third favorite with some bookmakers for the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, danzeno, is unlikely to take his opportunity.
With little rain prediction and the floor, coach Mick Appleby anxieties conditions would be the Heritage Handicap of Saturday against him.
Appleby is content to wait around for conditions, Although it’s a blow to connections, provided the eight-year-old has returned to something approaching his very best form this season.
“I don’t think he is going to move, now the floor has dried up,” said Appleby.
“He would have conducted if the floor has been good to soft. Nonetheless, it looks like it’s going to be good to company, and if that.
“it is a real shame, since I think he would have had a great opportunity as he’s come back to form.
“I have nothing particular in mind, (but) there are a fair few races within the upcoming few weeks we can have a look at for him.”
