Danzeno, third favorite with some bookmakers for your William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, is unlikely to take his opportunity.
With the ground and rain prediction, trainer Mick Appleby fears conditions would be in the Heritage Handicap of Saturday.
Appleby is pleased to wait around for suitable conditions later in the year, Although it’s a blow for connections, provided the eight-year-old has returned to something approaching his very best form this season.
“I really don’t think he’s going to go, now the ground has dried up,” said Appleby.
“He would have conducted if the floor has been good to tender. However, it appears like it’s going to be great to company, and when that’s the case he will not be running.
“it is a real shame, since I think he’d have had a great chance as he has come right back to shape.
“I have nothing special in mind, (but) you will find a fair few races within the upcoming few months we could have a look at to him.”
