Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks MLB Pick – August 31st

Measure back from the ledge Dodgers’ lovers, everything will be fine. Since they fell to 2-4 in their last six games and 3-5 in their previous eight games, yet another game dropped at the desert last night. This year has been ripping any stretch like this attracts anxiety for Dodgers’ lovers. The good thing is that it isn’t even September. Today is the final day of August.
The Dodgers are known to choke in October on, so it’s for the best that they take their dive now rather than then. No matter what happens the remainder of the season, the Dodgers are going to be going to the postseason with the NL West in hand. That lead is too massive for the Diamondbacks to conquer. Despite the two losses to the Dodgers, they nevertheless possess an edge about the Snakes.
So, while Dodgers’ fans view the skies as falling after losing twice in a row into the Diamondbacks, they’re likely going to be fine. That doesn’t mean that they’re World Series jumped, however. Don’t expect them to become stuck in this manner for the remainder of September.
They will get it going , but who knows what the future holds for Ryu. He explained his arm isn’t tired before heading out and becoming KO Thursday night. That’s three uncharacteristically bad starts in a row for him. It’s important that Ryu does fall away in October. He is currently playing for a Cy Young in September. Any more missteps and he might blow what looked like a sure thing.
Tony Gonsolin was adequate for the Dodgers last night with 2 earned runs allowed, but the 2 runs that Casey Sadler were responsible for murdered the game last night. Clayton Kershaw will be from the driver’s chair to try and find this boat Saturday, going in the right direction. The Diamondbacks will counter with their No. 1 Robbie Ray in this one. Kershaw has enabled less than 4 runs. He hasn’t been labeled for 4 runs because a trip. The Diamondbacks are fine against Kershaw with a .229 typical in 118 at-bats.
The offense has been slow. As his figures have shrunk significantly in August, that charge is being led by cody Bellinger. Pitchers are beginning to play catch up with him, although he was ruining in the summer. On August 1st Bellinger was hitting .331, now he moves into this matchup with a .307 batting average.
Power numbers are up against Robbie Ray historically. The Dodgers have hit 12 home runs and scored 32 runs against Ray from at-bats that were 237. Enrique Hernandez has bruised Ray pretty good, with 6 RBI’s in 37 plate looks and 4 long balls.
There are seven hitters on their roster batting higher than .300 from Ray. He did lead the Diamondbacks to a 3-2 win August 3rd over the Dodgers. The element is never a handicapping technique that is good, but it is tough to find the Dodgers dropping three in a row with Kershaw on the bump. Look at going with the Dodgers to get a play in the desert Saturday.
