Mourinho managed Lampard at Stamford Bridge across two spells, assisting the midfielder.

“Another matter is his first managerial career, one year of experience in Derby where he showed good qualities and today he has Chelsea in his palms.
“He plays with big things. He plays with Champions Leaguehe played a European Super Cup, he had big games in his hands, and he must develop the level of experiences, which I think he could because he has enormous experience”
“I can’t separate from the simple fact that soccer was in his life. He was born boy of a participant, he climbed up [nephew] of a football manager, he eventually became a player, he turned into a leading player… I believe he has all of the requirements to succeed.”
