Liverpool fans are no strangers to play and their newest Champions League exploits again left many of them drained.
The Reds have experienced incredible highs and lows – from missing out to the Champions League triumph of last season on the Premier League name.
On Wednesday night, lovers experienced the full spectrum of emotions as Liverpool raced to a 3-0 lead over Red Bull Salzburg, were pegged back to 3-3 saw Mohamed Salah snatch a winner.
Last year Liverpool dropped short of the imperious Manchester City side in the league title racebut it was not to the want of trying.
They squeezed every last minute out of a game, scoring late goals from Crystal Palace and Tottenham to maintain them in the search.
That mindset was on Wednesdayand on show , when the impossible to make it 3-3 was completed by Salzburg, there was the sense that Liverpool would discover a means in the end.
We demonstrated character, said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. I wasnt surprised to this, which explains why I was not overly worried at 3-3 since I knew we would have opportunities again.
Liverpool fans are utilized to winning, particularly at home and especially in Europe.
Theyve experienced defeat at a European competition at Anfield because 2014, when Real Madrid won 3-0.
In 3-0 there was an air of expectation. The Anfield atmosphere was but somewhat dim – understandable given the ease with which their negative had cut through Salzburg.
But when the people found their way back into the game, the home supporters did their role. As they cheered each break 10, they raised their side and each possession-winning tackle.
In 3-3, our men put a lot in it and they were a bit exhausted and the energy of this scene selects up, explained Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch. Liverpool is also an amazing team.
Klopp added:The fans are almost always important.
In a sport like this to celebrate winning a press ball like a objective. Im like that. The atmosphere was really extreme.
The folks remember that we are in Anfield and that something is possible
At the surface of the dominant home record of Liverpool , lots of sides have arrived at Anfield looking until the whistle was blown beaten.

Marsch admitted that his players were likewise fearful of their opponents.
We had too much respect for Liverpool in the first half, that is for sure, he explained.

This match also provided a lesson in not becoming complacent.
We opened the door and they had been running through, said Klopp. It was an essential lesson for us .
Liverpool understand where for, they will need to improve and a side which have won every Premier League match.
