Tyson Fury says he’s”ready for war” using Deontay Wilder in February despite worries the acute cuts endured in his eponymous triumph over Otto Wallin could delay their bout.
Talking to BBC Sport as he had been ushered through the airport in Las Vegas on Sunday, the 31-year British fighter said”just over 40 stitches” were required for 2 reductions endured from Wallin on Saturday.
“I went to the hospital, had a few stitches, moved home and had an early night,” he explained.
“Then I’ve got up, gone to the casinowon five grand, had a few beers and now I’m likely to have a few more beers.”
Fury sported sunglasses, that hid his stitching, and he stopped for photographs with fans who paid him compliments , while his group were eager to catch him through safety at McCarran International Airport.
The Manchester-born fighter fought for more than nine rounds while trimming in the T-Mobile Arena and obtained a second cut after in the fight.
The harm motivated promoter Frank Warren to say a 22 February rematch with WBC world champion Wilder might be postponed if Fury doesn’t heal.
Asked about a delay, Fury stated:”I am ready for war. I believe it was over 40 stitches indoors and outside with the cuts.
“Listen I’m all perfect. It is boxing. You can’t go swimming and never become wet. It is the fight game”
The promoters at the usa of fury have confirmed he had 47 stitches in most after the bout, in despite being widely written off 33, which Wallin took Fury into 12 rounds.

Asked if this kind of test would further improve him prior to any Wilder meeting, he responded:”100 percent – 12 rounds could bring me on to another fight.
“I believed it was tough. He is a durable man Wallin.
“We put on a fantastic show for its Mexican fans and we have a massive audience, I was quite amazed.”
