UFC Boston: Molly McCann claims third straight win with dominant victory over Diana Belbita

EnglandsMeatball Molly McCann made dominant performance to claim a landslide choice win over Romanias Diana Belbita in UFC Fight Night in Boston, Massachusetts.
The 29-year-old in Liverpool completed a hat-trick of wins with a comprehensive performance in 2019.
She and an ground game mixed her up striking to claim scores of 30-26 on all three of the judges scorecards.
UFC debutant Belbita appeared to begin the better of the two, and led into the contest riding a four-fight win streak and immediately settled in to her striking rhythm, but at the close of the opening round McCann was nicely on top.
A significant takedown in the conclusion of this first round gave a glimpse of things to come in the moment as McCann switched her attack from striking to wrestling and dominated that the Romanian, whose despair to protect against another major takedown saw her settled a stage for perennial fencing grabs.
When the action resumed Belbita was taken by McCann into the mat and and unloaded a barrage of earth strikes which came close to earning a second-round complete to the Liverpudlian.
I felt like I had been going to be sick
To her Belbita survived the round, but had left to give at the frame as McCann dominated her boxing to secure all three rounds on the scorecards to claim the 10th win of her mixed martial arts career.
McCanns very first octagon appearance saw her lose out to Canadian grappler Gillian Robertson in her hometown at UFC Liverpool in May 2018, but the prior Cage Warriors womens flyweight champion bounced back to claim unanimous decision victories over Priscila Cachoeira and prior KSW champion Ariane Lipski at March and June respectively.
And McCanns success in Boston completed a hat-trick of wins within the octagon because her record improved to 10-2 and showed her improvement since she seems to climb the ladder at the UFC womens flyweight division.
Despite her remarkable functionality, McCann revealed after the battle she was feeling ill during the contest, saying:I felt like I was going to be sick.
I will be glad when I look back, but Im devastated at the moment.
I need to get back in there and do another 3 rounds to fix it. Should they give me a second opportunity before the years conclusion, Ill jump all over it.
At least on my worst dayI still produced a performance that made me a triumph.
In the nights main card opener, English middleweight DarrenThe Dentist Stewart showcased his enhanced gas tank since he endured several takedowns from previous US national team wrestler Deron Winn before utilizing his striking to earn the victory via split decision and then hands the American his first career loss.
Winn held the obvious advantage in the wrestling part of the competition, however Stewart, 28battled his way back to his feet before scoring with powerful strikes at the stand-up.
As the bout went beyond the half-way point, as began to neutralize the takedowns of Winn and punish the American with all slick boxing Stewarts cardio began to tilt the contest in his favour. It gave the Brit the border in the final reckoning since he took the win on the scorecards with dozens of 28-29, 29-28, 29-28 to fasten the triumph of his career and his fourth success in his past five outings from the UFC.
After his victory, Stewart said hed like nothing more than next year, when the UFC returns to London to create his appearance.
Id like to fight in London again, he said.
